A mortar shell was found lying in a field in Samba district, which was destroyed by a controlled explosion on Tuesday. Giving information about this, officials said that the 84 mm shell was found lying in a field in Dadui village on Samba-Mansar road late on Monday night. Many operations are being conducted in the valley against the terrorists, yet the terrorists are not desisting from their activities.

Earlier on Monday, an old mortar shell was found lying near a drain on the roadside in Jammu. He said that the bomb disposal squad took possession of it this morning and destroyed it. Some local residents in the Rupnagar area saw the shell, after which they informed the police.
