Many challenges occurred during line laying
The project had been planned for over a decade and was delayed for various reasons, including alleged rivalry between the city’s electricity suppliers. AESL faced many challenges during line laying, mainly in difficult areas. But these were overcome by the use of technology and innovation. These include six towers built using heavy rigs on floating barges at Thane Creek and in urban areas, Height-related restrictions have been overcome in some places by adopting special horizontal configuration towers.
