Asian Games 2023: The Japan team was in front of the Indian hockey team in the final bout of men’s hockey at the Asian Games 2023. This match was easily captured by Gold, winning by a big margin of 5–1. It was India’s first gold since the 2014 Asian Games. In 2018, Team India had to be content with Bronze. Manpreet Singh, Hermanpreet Singh, Abhishek and Amit Rohidas scored goals in the final for India. With this victory, India has also qualified for the Paris Olympics 2024.
