DGP Vikas Sahai of the state said that 6000 policemen of the Gujarat Police Force, along with the National Security Guard (NSG), NDRF will be stationed at Ahmedabad and Narendra Modi Stadium.

Vikas Sahai said that there will be five aspects of security, security of stadium and spectators, traffic and parking arrangements, security of cricket teams, Looking at the antisocial elements and ensuring that no unpleasant incidents occur throughout the region. He said that the Gujarat Police is fully prepared and will ensure that the cricket match is done without any hindrance. We have also deployed the Ahmedabad Crime Branch, ATS and Special Force. Since the match ends around 10:30 pm, all the units of Gujarat Police have been instructed to be on alert mode after eight o’clock last night.
